    Elon Musk is a business magnate, entrepreneur, and visionary who has been at the forefront of some of the most significant technological innovations of our time. He was born on June 28, 1971, in Pretoria, South Africa, to a Canadian mother and a South African father.

    As a child, Musk was an avid reader and showed an early aptitude for computers. He began teaching himself computer programming at the age of 12 and sold his first computer game at the age of 12.

    In 1995, Musk moved to the United States to study at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received degrees in physics and economics. After graduation, he founded a company called Zip2, which provided business directories and maps for newspapers. In 1999, Compaq acquired Zip2 for almost $300 million, making Musk a millionaire.

    After Zip2, Musk co-founded PayPal, an online payment system, which quickly became one of the most successful companies of its kind. In 2002, eBay acquired PayPal for $1.5 billion, and Musk walked away with over $100 million.

    With his newfound wealth, Musk turned his attention to space exploration and founded SpaceX in 2002. His goal was to reduce the cost of space travel and eventually make life on other planets possible. SpaceX has since become one of the leading private space exploration companies, and has made several historic accomplishments, including the first privately-funded spacecraft to reach orbit and the first privately-funded spacecraft to dock with the International Space Station.

    In addition to SpaceX, Musk is also the CEO of Tesla, a company that is revolutionizing the automobile industry with its electric vehicles. He has also been involved in other companies such as SolarCity, Neuralink, and The Boring Company.

    Musk is known for his ambitious goals, and has stated that his ultimate goal is to make life multi-planetary. He has been recognized for his contributions to science and technology, receiving numerous awards and honors, including being named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people in the world.
